Is the PlayStation Network down or offline? Well if it isn’t already it might be soon enough as Sony has announced that there will be scheduled maintenance on the PSN tonight between 3:00AM EST (UTC-5) until 5:00am.
However don’t fear that you won’t be able to play during that time because they said “During this maintenance period you WILL be able to sign in to the Network if you have signed in at some point over the past few days.” Which means if you haven’t signed in, in the last few days do so now if you wish to play tonight.
They also stated “Online play and apps will function as expected during this time. The PlayStation Store and Account Management will be unavailable for the duration of this maintenance.” However the PlayStation Store and Account Management will not be available.
