According to one of our forum members who claims to work closely with Kaz Yamauchi (however more with the Forza devs), we should expect to see the highly anticipated Gran Turismo 5 free roam coming to the next DLC or perhaps in early 2012.

He wouldn’t reveal to us what are the exact contents of the DLC, however he does go on to state that the content of GT5 may exceed the equivalent of three dual layer Blu-ray discs (including patches and DLC).
When it comes to the price, he keeps us guessing stating that “…there will be a lot [of] free and not free DLC’s…” in the future.
