
Reprint: A new firmware update for the PlayStation 3 under version number v4.00 focuses on support between the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita. The patch also focuses on giving PlayStation Plus users more control over their accounts. The full patch details are listed below:
Support has been added to integrate the PlayStation Vita system:
- Receive message sent using the Group Messaging feature of the PS Vita system
- Share content from PS3 and PS Vita systems
- Back up various titles of files saved on the PS Vita system
PlayStation Plus members can now choose to enable or disable each automatic update feature:
- Game patches
- System software
- Recommended games and videos
- Sync trophy information
