A new firmware update (v3.72) has been released by the devs over at Sony. Not much has been made public regarding this update however these minor fixes appear to be taking quite a bit of time to download and install. It is likely that this mandatory update has been made to reflect changes made on Sony’s server side.
A new PS3 system software update, v3.72, will be released soon. With this minor update, system stability during use of PS3 format software and network services has been improved.(PlayStation Blog)
